My former lover, Jorge, and I created this three story icicle of lights in the basement of my former building. Stringing stands of lights one at a time, moving up a few feet and then adding the next so it would be wider at the top and one stand at the bottom. It was freezing when we made it in the middle of the night. I went to the roof and threw down a nylon cord which Jorge attached and I hoisted it up. It was much heavier than expected and even with gloves the weight and cold made it difficult to hold waiting for Jorge to come up and help me anchor it.
